Job Summary:
The Lead Maintenance Worker performs a variety of work in the
general maintenance and repair of buildings, facilities, equipment,
and grounds.
Essential Functions:
1. Receives direction and priorities from Facilities and
Maintenance Manager, assigns tasks, help to coordinates work
projects and the work of other personnel (internal and
external).
2. Performs general maintenance, repair of buildings, facilities,
equipment and grounds.
3. Ensures that buildings and equipment are maintained in a safe,
clean and orderly condition in accordance with all applicable
regulations.
4. Maintains maintenance inventory records and files.
5. Prepares reports; monitors and prioritizes maintenance schedules
to assure tasks are performed in a timely manner.
6. Cleans and repairs structures such as floors, toilets, sinks,
walls, roofs, stairways, and carpets.
7. Contacts appropriate outside agencies as needed to schedule
service/inspections by trained personnel.
8. Obtains required permits as appropriate.
9. Arranges for disposal of hazardous waste and chemicals.
10. Coordinates several projects simultaneously.
11. Forecasts issues and plans accordingly--preventative
maintenance.
12. Adheres to safety practices and procedures.
13. Develops and maintains effective working relationships with
other staff and vendors.
14. Promotes and builds good working relationships with staff of
Communities First, Inc. mission. Works with team; assists whenever
and wherever needed/required.
