This is a 2nd shift Diesel Mechanic position. As a Diesel Mechanic with Star Truck Rentals you will perform all levels of preventive maintenance services, diagnose and repair malfunctions using computer diagnostic software, identify warrantable repairs and document repair orders. Star requires the following of all our Diesel Mechanics.... 5+ years of diesel mechanic experience (preferred) High school diploma or equivalent Vocational or Technical mechanic certification (preferred) A valid drivers license is required, and, must either possess a CDL or have the ability to obtain a CDL license (required) Master Michigan Heavy Duty Mechanic (preferred) Michigan State Mechanic Certifications ASE Certifications (preferred) A positive attitude Must be able to read, write and perform basic mathematics Sitting, standing, walking, squatting/kneeling, reaching, grasping, pushing/pulling, twisting/bending, lifting/carrying up to 100 lbs. on occasion and up to 50 lbs. multiple times per shift, fingering, talking, hearing, and seeing.
