Primary Responsibilities Include: Read and follow blueprints, shop orders, specifications, and other instructions Measure parts accurately using scales, micrometers, and calipers Operate overhead crane and fork trucks while moving or assembling product Perform simple to moderately complex welding operations and plasma cutting Prepare parts for painting Keep work area clean Travel when needed Requirements Travel High school diploma or equivalent Mathematical skills that require the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide and to make metric system conversions Ability to read and understand blueprints and manufacturing instructions Knowledge of and ability to use hand tools and machine tools such as drill press, band saw, cut-off saw, and grinder Basic knowledge of carpentry and pneumatics a plus Proactive, resourceful and highly motivated with good communication skills and the ability to work in high output environment Ability to work independently or in team environments Ability to work overtime and weekends when needed Protective Clothing and Physical Demands The incumbent will utilize safety glasses, ear protection, gloves, safety shoes while performing the functions of this position While performing the duties and responsibilities of this position, the employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, reach above shoulders, and use foot/feet for operation
