Ryder, a leader in providing premier logistics and transportation solutions, is currently seeking a skilled Mobile Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic team. As part of our commitment to innovation and efficiency, this role is critical in maintaining the high standards of operational excellence that support our varied customer needs across numerous industries. This position involves performing maintenance and repair services on diesel engines and various heavy-duty transportation vehicles at customer locations and out in the field. Ideal candidates will be adept with hands-on mechanical tasks, problem-solving, and providing exceptional customer service under minimal supervision. Conducting regular maintenance checks and diagnostics on fleet diesel engines and related components. Ensuring customer vehicles are diagnosed and repaired in a timely, efficient, and cost-effective manner. Traveling to customer sites to deliver on-site repair and maintenance services. Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures while operating company-issued service trucks and tools. Keeping accurate records of services performed, parts used, and other reportable information. Collaborating with fleet management to schedule maintenance and document vehicle issues and services provided. Providing technical guidance and recommendations to improve service quality. Proficiency with diesel engines and associated systems Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment Excellent communication and customer service skills Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k ASE Diesel Certification highly preferred Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) might be required Technical training in diesel engine repair or equivalent practical experience
