At NRI Industrial Sales, safety is our priority. Our job sites have sanitation stations, and regular cleaning is undertaken to ensure the health of our workers. Employees are required to wear face masks or coverings, in compliance with Ohio State, and physical distancing is practiced in the workplace. Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following: Unpacks and examines incoming shipments. Load and unload, and stage outgoing trucks Identify the proper cleaner needed for cleaning each piece of equipment. Responsible for sorting, weighing and staging scrap. Responsible for supply ordering for the pre-processing department Train new employees for the following positions: General Labor, Pre-Processors & Dismantlers. Maintains Freight Tracking Sheet for incoming shipments. Conduct regular checks on all the warehouse machinery like power tools etc. Execute daily work instructions received from Leads/Managers in a timely manner. Maintain a clean workstation to promote warehouse safety. Proper operation of equipment to safety and productivity requirements, including but not limited to: Hand Tools (hammer, screwdriver, wrench, etc.) Power Tools (impacts, drills, Sawzall. Blowtorch, etc.) Reach lift (Forklifts-sit-down or standup) Tagging, labeling, and stocking of all supplies of the warehouse. Ensure all items are placed in the proper location, according to safety standards, to be processed. Complying with OSHA and MSDS/SDS standards. Being responsible for keeping the SDS sheets available for review upon request of employees in shipping/inventory department. Identify brand names, model number capacities and specifications on industrial parts. Utilize inventory systems to catalog parts and equipment. Understand the use of keywords to research and identify items efficiently. Research selling prices of used and surplus industrial parts and equipment online through various search engines. Accurately enter product specifications into the database. Communicate effectively with coworkers/managers to resolve production questions/issues. Work Environment and Physical Requirements: Warehouse Environment, with some outdoor exposure during workday. Ability to lift 50-75 lbs. occasionally. Requires walking, standing, bending and lifting for long periods of time. Routinely use standard warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, box cutters, hand-held tools, etc. Vision abilities required to validate and enter data on computer. Position Qualifications Must be able to pass a background check. Background check is a mandatory part of the hiring process. Education: HS graduate or equivalent Experience: 1yr warehouse experience preferred. Previous experience with hand and power tools required. Forklift/Reach experience required. Experience with industrial automation equipment, valves, pumps, motors, etc. Experience with inventory management. Ability to understand how to accurately weigh and measure items.
