The Technical Data Coordinator is responsible for managing the various data sets and management systems in the Global Marketing and Technology Department. This position ensures the proper coordination and alignment of Recipes, Global Product Naming, Quality Control (QC) Specifications, Quality Control (QC) Test Methods, Product Technical Data Sheets, Raw Materials, Manufacturing Processes, and Packages within the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and other data management systems used by Chem-Trend L.P.

Responsibilities

Assist the M&T SAP team and Technology Leaders with preparation, transfer and data input into the SAP (Systems, Applications and Products) ERP and other data management systems.
Assist in the creation, training, and maintenance of necessary M&T workflows to ensure accurate and timely data input for all necessary processes; recommend improvements as needed.
Assist the M&T SAP team and Technology Leaders to coordinate tests within M&T during SAP implementation and GO LIVE phases.
Lead formulation input during implementation phase and continue during daily usage, drawing on technical resources as needed, to ensure timely and accurate input of data.
Build and maintain the requirements in a database for master data maintenance.
Provide the global coordination of formulations, at the general, site, master, and laboratory levels to ensure alignment of raw materials, formulations, QC specifications, QC test methods, manufacturing processing parameters, and data tags.
Support the development of a raw material database, coordinating its maintenance in alignment with global and regional technical and supply chain teams.
Analyze and make connections between formulations and raw materials across CT units to determine the need for additional general and/or site recipes to avoid formulation duplication and/or formulation gaps due to localization of raw materials as additional formulations and CT units implement SAP and assign data tags, as needed.
Oversee and maintain global, regional, and industry segment access levels within SAP and associated modules.
Assist Material Master Data (MDM) to gather and enter raw material and formulation information.
Act as SAP global support for training and documentation for M&T globally.
Establish, measure, and continuously improve performance metrics and controls of M&T data management systems.
Support regional M&T data managers in case of questions about master data.
Support the management team of Marketing and Technology in the development of reports and management tools that rely on ERP and other data management systems.
Coordinate tests within M&T after SAP system changes or updates.
Other duties as assigned.




Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems or related field with experience in a chemical or industrial environment, or bachelor's degree in Chemistry with professional experience working with SAP, or equivalent experience.
3+ years of experience working with SAP.
Familiar with chemical terminology, including product data sheets and safety data sheets.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
3+ years of work experience in an industrial environment, preferred.
Experience with flow charts, Microsoft Office, and SharePoint preferred.
Ability to travel, domestic and international.
Strong Communication: Communicate clearly and concisely with internal and external customers at all levels of the organization, using verbal and written distribution channels.
Time Management: Manage a number of projects simultaneously, independently set priorities, and manage workload under deadline pressures while paying strict attention to detail and maintaining accuracy and high customer satisfaction.
Analytical Skill: Demonstrate a strong ability to analyze and solve problems with speed and accuracy, while exercising independent judgment consistent with department guidelines.
Teamwork: Demonstrate the ability to work well with others towards a shared goal, participate actively and contribute to the capability of the team.
