signs, guardrails, high tension cable barriers, fencing, drilled
shafts, and structural foundations. We construct the most

is responsible for all aspects of processing payroll for our two
companies, Action Traffic Maintenance and Michigan Highway Signs,
for a team of around 100 employees every week. The new team member
who comes in will be responsible for maintaining all of our
employee information and is the first point of contact for all
Human Resources & Payroll-related questions for both Action Traffic
Maintenance & Michigan Highway Signs Human Resources functions. Key
Responsibilities:Process weekly payroll for all employees,
including reporting certified payroll to LCP Tracker and posting
reports to the general ledger for various accounts, and review
accounts for accuracy weeklyMaintains all employee personal
information regarding employment, pay, benefits, and deductions in
the HRIS/Payroll system. Responsible for entering salary data or
payroll changes into HRIS/Payroll and verifying those changes are
updated before payroll is run.Responsible for setting up jobs
within time & attendance, HRIS/Payroll system & certified payroll
tracker, including updating prevailing wage rates and fringes as
outlined within the contracts. Track and process information for
FMLA & Workers Compensation Maintain employee files in compliance
with applicable laws and retention policiesIs the first point of
contact for payroll and HR-related questions.Conducts employee
onboarding for new hires, including scheduling new hire
orientation, assisting employees in understanding pay, benefits,
policies, and procedures, reviewing and processing forms for
accuracy and completeness, and performing driver MVR background
checks.Assisting with the maintenance of our HR programs,
including; Health & Welfare insurance plans, 401(k), Applicant
Tracking System, Onboarding & Offboarding- ensuring all new hire
paperwork is completed and sending offboarding notices, including
exit interviews.Assisting the HR Director in various HR-related
projects.Assists in preparing various reports within HR & Payroll
systems.Other tasks/functions/projects as assignedBenefits:In

diploma or GED Requires a minimum of two (2) years of experience in
human resources, payroll, or a closely related fieldExperience with
processing certified payroll through LCP Tracker
(Preferred)Experience with assisting in Open Enrollment
presentations, processing paperwork, and responding to questions
(Preferred)At Action Traffic's discretion, may consider an
alternative combination of formal education and work experience. An
