Responsibilities of the Human Resources Assistant include, but are not limited to, the following:---Audits

  • Assist and/or complete and maintain daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual audits
  • Benefits - payroll deductions vs actual invoice billing (major medical, dental, vision and supplemental)
  • Time off - paid time off, unpaid time off, FMLA, PMLA
  • OT - tracking the overtime calculations, the why and the resolution (with Production Manager)
  • I-9 Binder - add new hires, remove terminations and update expirations in timely manner
  • Workman's Comp; as neededHR Functions
    • Oversee all aspects of Recruitment
    • Tally staffing needs
    • Place all ads
    • Screen candidates on phone
    • Search resume databases for qualified candidates
    • Interview, Extend Offers and Follow-up with all candidates
    • Distribute No Hire Letters
    • Track all recruitment results
    • Assist with Company Issue items
    • Workman's compensation follow-up
    • Injuries related to guests, vehicles, and/or buildings
    • Labor law, lawsuit and claim prep
    • FMLA calculations and tracking
    • Maintain I-9 Log
    • Assist with V of E letters needed
    • Assist with Job Description creation and Employment Manual Revisions as requested
    • Prep Evaluations as needed
    • Print & distribute to employees during 30-day, 90-day and Annual time frames
    • Prep & create Employee Flyers, Notices and/or Memos as requested
    • Assist with Retention Efforts
    • From daily reminders to monthly contests (see Retention Binder)
    • Assist with Workman's Compensation items
    • Incident Report, Carrier Reporting, Transportation and Follow-upOrientation / Training
      • Assist with Professional Development
      • Finding, scheduling, tracking and follow-up for training (resources) for all staff
      • Provide group on-boarding orientation session
      • Oversee all aspects of Exit & Stay Interviews
      • Utilize Survey Monkey and/or hard copy - update questionnaire as needed
      • Distribute Exit Interviews to all employees who voluntarily resign and/or NCNS
      • Distribute Stay Interviews to randomly selected employees on a monthly basis
      • Track Exit & Stay interview resultsPayroll Functions
        • Processing of weekly payroll
        • Ensure that necessary (voluntary and mandatory) payroll deductions are administered
        • Input all new hires
        • Input all change of status forms
        • Verify deductions on all terminations
        • Input all terminations once deductions verified
        • Review and input all garnishment requirements
        • Deduct necessary expenses from terminated employees
        • Track and deduct training expenses from terminated employees or those who commit and do not attend
