Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Surgical First Assistant - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 02/23/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 10 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Summary – Surgical Technologist (First Assist) | Corewell Health - Facility: Butterworth Hospital OR, Grand Rapids, MI - Contract Dates: Feb 23 – May 24, 2026 (?13 weeks) - Openings: 1 - Hours: 40 hrs/week Schedule - Shift: Days - Hours: 0700–1730 (10-hour shifts) - Weekends: None - On Call: Yes – 2 days in a rolling 4-week period - Workplace: On-site Role & Requirements - Title: Surgical Technologist – First Assist - Experience: 2–40 years (GYN & Breast care preferred) - Certifications Required: CST, STFA, BLS (AHA or ARC) - Education: Accredited Surgical Technology program - Scrub Color: Light blue Key Responsibilities - Maintain sterile field and prepare surgical suite - Instrument, sponge, and needle counts - Assist with patient positioning and intraoperative support - Collaborate with surgeons on preference cards and cost efficiency - Participate in safety initiatives and quality improvement About LanceSoft Established in 2000, LanceSoft is a Certified MBE and Woman-Owned organization.
