ACLS (AHA) NIHSS Description: This position performs a variety of
integrated functions using the nursing process. The nurse applies a
broad nursing knowledge in a caring and concerned manner.
Responsibilities include assessing patients for physical,
emotional, psychosocial, and family support. The nurse organizes
and coordinates all aspects of patient care based on the patient's
real and/or perceived needs. Patient progress is evaluated by
correlating patient information with nursing knowledge. This
evaluation determines if goals are being met according to the
patient's plan of care or clinical path. The position also involves
consulting and collaborating with members of the healthcare team.
This collaboration ensures effective planning and implementation of
total patient care for individuals.
