Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Perinatal Nurse to join our team at CHRISTUS Health. As a key member of our Labor and Delivery Department, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to a positive patient experience.Key Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, and implement patient care, ensuring a safe and effective environment.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized patient plans, addressing physical, emotional, and cultural needs.
• Administer medications and treatments, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness, and documenting patient history, symptoms, and care provided.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers, identifying issues and resources.
• Participate in quality improvement activities, contributing to the development and implementation of policies and procedures.Requirements
  • 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty, with Perinatal RN Residency or recent practice in a Perinatal Setting preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred.
  • BLS required; RN License in state of employment or compact; Current certification from NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) or AWHONN courses.Work Schedule and Type7PM - 7AM, Part Time.
