Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Perinatal Nurse to join our team at CHRISTUS Health. As a key member of our Labor and Delivery Department, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to a positive patient experience.Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care, ensuring a safe and effective environment.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized patient plans, addressing complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs.
• Administer medications and treatments, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness, and documenting patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers, identifying issues and resources.
• Participate in quality improvement activities, incorporating patient safety practices and guidelines to promote positive patient outcomes.Requirements
  • 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty, with Perinatal RN Residency or recent practice in a Perinatal Setting preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred.
  • BLS required, with RN License in state of employment or compact, and current certification from NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) or AWHONN courses.Work Schedule and Type7PM - 7AM, Part Time.
