Job Description:
JOB SUMMARYThe Registered Dietitian is an integral member of the
NOW center wellness team. Directly provides personalized,
scientific- based nutritional education for members of wellness
facility. Serves as a nutrition expert and advocates for wellness
for all members. Provides both one on one and group counseling,
with minimal supervision. Ensure excellent customer service to all
guest of the NOW center. Responsible for developing and
implementing nutrition demonstrations to a diverse population.
Provide expert guidance to allow for safe and desired
client-centered personal nutrition outcomes. Strives for superior
performance of the NOW center by consistently providing excellent
customer service to clients and staff that is recognized as
ultimately contributing to the wellness experience. Recognizes and
demonstrates understanding of community centered care. PRIMARY JOB
RESPONSIBILITIESAssess, plan and execute personalize nutrition
plans for a variety of fitness level clients.Conduct nutritional
assessment on all new clients. Serve as the nutrition expert for
the wellness facility by participating in local media events,
social networking and live food demonstrations. Develop and deliver
disease-specific nutritional workshops.Collect and interpret data
on clients' fitness/nutrition progress and goals.Provide safe and
effective nutritional recommendations though scientific-based
evidence guidelines. Demonstrate and model best practice guidance
though continued education supported though the ADA.In conjunction
with the Wellness Team, develop and effectively present nutrition
education across a variety of platforms for health fairs, lunch and
learns, patient specific diet needs and caf-- wellness as needed.
Keep assessment areas organized, clean and inviting. Provide
guidance to customer service front desk staff as needed.Participate
in monthly staff meetings and staffing schedules. Reporting of
sales trends, client wellness data and community areas of interest
to NOW center leadership team. Drive client sales with knowledge of
center and areas of opportunities.Provide tour of facility and
services to new/ potential members/ community groups.Communicate
and coordinate with internal departments.Follow up on clients goals
with supportive monitoring. Demonstrates knowledge of and supports
hospital mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and
procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality statements,
corporate compliance plan, customer service standards, and the code

assignedJOB SPECIFICATIONSEDUCATIONCurrently hold an active
Registered Dietitian license though the Commission on Dietetic
Registration (CDR), with ability to practice in the state of
Michigan. Certification in CPR/AED/ First Aid with the AHA only.
Must be obtained within 30 days of hiring. EXPERIENCEKnowledge of
customer service principles and practices. Extensive knowledge of
integrative nutrition, physiology and anatomy and nutrition program
implementation.Preferred experience in the wellness or outpatient
setting with one on one and group educational skills. Preferred
experience with media promotion and social platforms. Knowledge of
relevant computer applications and data tracking software.ESSENTIAL
PHYSICAL ABILITIES/MOTOR SKILLSAble to travel independently
throughout all Memorial Healthcare facilities.Small motor skills
required for operating modern computer, office, and telephone
equipment as utilized by Memorial Healthcare (MHC).Able to provide
walking tours of Wellness Center daily. Ability to stand for
extended periods of time. Ability to be flexible in work
environments- such as front desk and wellness floor. Willingness to
work early mornings, nights and weekends as needed for special
events. ESSENTIAL TECHNICAL ABILITIESProficiency using modern
office, computer and telephone equipmentas used by Memorial
Healthcare.Industry standard data tracking systems and software
programs. Use of NOW center membership program.Use of NOW center
website and social media accounts. ESSENTIAL MENTAL
ABILITIESAbility to adapt and maintain focus in fast paced, quickly
changing or stressful situations.Ability to read and interpret a
variety of client data programs.Self-driven and effective problem
solving skills.Ensure positive customer service environment with

to see for the purpose of reading information received in formats
including but not limited to paper, computer, reports, bulletins,
updates, manuals.Able to hear for work-related purposes.Able to be
in a loud, crowded environment for extended period of

hospital staff, administration, patients, physicians, the public
and all internal and external customers in a professional and
