The Opportunity
The Senior Director, Talent Management Leader is accountable for
budgets, performance, and results of the Talent Management team.
The role will provide guidance and advice regarding various talent
management matters that arise during business while ensuring
compliance with relevant company HR policies, procedures, and
programs. The role closely partners with senior HR leadership to
address complex Talent opportunities and issues; and collaborates
with various departments. The role also designs effective
communication strategies and supports their implementation. The
role has expertise in stakeholder and risk management, designing
Talent management policies and standards in line with business
priorities, and ensuring compliance further contributes to
fostering a compliant and ethical work environment. The role has
full management authority for staffing, performance, disciplinary
action, pay decisions, team development, and other personnel
actions.
What -you'll be -able -to -do
- Leads the design and implementation of talent management
programs including talent review, performance management, and
succession planning.
- Defines a global strategy for talent related programs and
processes that builds required talent and capabilities and ensures
an outstanding employee experience.
- Partners with HR leadership and senior stakeholders to improve
the alignment of business strategy and objectives with the talent
management strategy, by ensuring that there is an alignment between
the structure, strategy, people, rewards, and talent management
processes of the organization.
- Partners with, engages, and manages agencies and vendors for
development initiatives.
- Participates in the design of strategies for talent management
programs. Leads the planning, execution, and administration of
talent development systems, processes, and programs for leaders.
Guides the identification of critical roles, program manages the
talent review process, and delivers the tools and resources for
talent review and succession planning process.
- Conducts projects which involve identifying innovative
solutions for critical problems pertinent to talent management
involving extensive stakeholder and risk analysis and evaluation of
multiple alternatives and their business implications such as
leadership development program design and implementation, culture
transformation initiatives, talent assessment and succession
planning and organizational restructuring and change management.
Leads associated interactions and presentations with various
internal departments/units to explain progress and recommendations
as well as with external vendors/auditors/consultants to integrate
solutions into an implementation plan.
- Leads the development of relevant standards, procedures, and
reporting templates to ensure efficient and effective experiences.
Monitors metrics around the efficiency and effectiveness of talent
management programs to measure their success and provides
advice/liaises with different departments to implement changes
wherever necessary.
- Leads briefings and meetings in partnership with HR leadership
on issues around succession planning for key leadership positions,
employee engagement and retention strategies, diversity and
inclusion initiatives, talent development, and career planning
programs amongst other talent management problems. Provides
coaching and guidance to HR and other cross-functional management
on organizational growth and development.
- Develops departmental budgets, regularly monitors the same
against actual performance for one or more locations and develops
strategies to adjust courses of action in case of variance. Leads
associated presentations with senior internal
stakeholders.
- Establishes operating policies and procedures related to talent
management programs in line with their interpretation of
company-wide policies and procedures and sets protocols and SOPs
around their update at periodic intervals to ensure compliance with
relevant federal, state, and local laws, communicated effectively
to stakeholders, and consistently enforced.
- Ensures the maintenance of accurate and confidential records
and data related to talent management matters including succession
planning information, organizational development interventions,
career development plans, leadership development data etc. in
compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Performs talent management responsibilities including staffing,
performance, discipline, pay decisions, team development, and other
personnel actions.
Functional -& -Technical -Knowledge -
The -minimum requirements -we -seek
- Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree (preferred) in Human
Resources, Organizational Development or any other related
discipline or commensurate work experience.
- Minimum 8 years of work experience with a Master's degree or 10
years of work experience with a Bachelor's degree, preferably in
Talent and Organization Development or a related field.
