Job Impulse, Inc. has an immediate opening for a *HR Manager *in *Flint MI*. Our client is a *engineering and manufacturing facility*. The *HR Manager *is responsible to *plan, coordinate, and direct the HR functions of an organization.*

Responsibilities of a *HR Manager *includes*: *

* Oversees the daily workflow of HR department.
* Provides management support and guidance to HR generalists and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
* Assist Director in managing the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
* Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for HR staff members.
* Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new HR staff members.
* Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations of all direct reports.
* Guides and facilitates the formulation, review, and implementation of company policies and procedures, including recommendation on involvement of key stakeholders, and collection of feedback on proposed policy development and revisions.
* Serves as a primary point-of-contact regarding company's policy development and revision process; advises on the possible interaction between proposed policies with other existing policies outlined in current Employee Handbook's or standalone policies.
* Research policy concepts, complex policy issues, possible legal implications, and the impact of proposed policies and policy revisions on key areas of the company; recommends consults with legal counsel, as needed.
* Assists with the policy development process by ensuring consistency and avoiding duplication or conflicts among policies; identifies policies, procedures, processes, or practices that could be revised, simplified, eliminated, or created to better meet the needs of the company.
* Drafts and/or oversees the development of policy drafts for review and approval, coordinates submission of policies to the appropriate leader for review and approval.
* Ensures policies are finalized in a timely manner once approved and in a format that is user-friendly and consistent.
* May assist in communicating policy changes and revisions to Directors, Managers, Supervisors, and employees. Retains the appropriate records.
* Develop, review and revise Job Descriptions.
* Develop standard, letters, memos, spreadsheets, etc., as requested by Director of Human Resources.
* Ensures compliance with state, and federal policies and regulations related to Human Resources and safety.
* Promote a positive culture of health and safety in the workplace
* Recommend and implement safety processes and procedures.
* Write and revise safety programs and policies that engage all employees.
* Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
* Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
* Manage Workers Compensation program including first report (including TelepComp Care and AKOS), injury management, and return to work restrictions for employees and contract temporary employees.
* Complete and submit state and federal annual reports as required, (i.e., EEO-1, Form 300-A, Bureau of Labor and Statistics)
* Process and submit information for Unemployment Insurance Agency (UIA) claims to UIA Advocate.
* Provide guidance and insight to Directors, Managers, Supervisors, regarding policies, procedures, processes, employee relations and safety.
* Share pertinent new or updated information with Director of Human Resources and HR Team related to HR Policy, Safety, etc.
* Participates in professional development for Human Resources, Health & Safety, via Zoom, Teams, Webinars and Webcast.
* Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements of a *HR Manager: *

* Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
* Advanced knowledge of and skill in the development of Human Resources, Health & Safety policies, and procedures documentation applicable to the company.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point)
* Advanced analytical, evaluative, and objective critical thinking skills and the ability to effectively summarize and present information.
* Ability to draw conclusions and effectively communicate recommendations on policy research and findings.
* Knowledge of local, state, and federal, regulations, guidelines, and standards regarding Safety and Human Resources.
* Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
* Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
* Ability to use independent judgment and to manage and impart confidential information.
* Ability to evaluate and edit the content, structure, and format of a range of written material.
* Demonstrated ability to develop tactical plans and prioritize and organize projects to meet deadlines.
* Ability to organize and coordinate the work of committees and other types of task groups.
* Ability to interpret and communicate policies, regulations, and procedures to leadership and employees.
* Must maintain confidentiality at all times.

*REQUIRED Experience and Education: *

* Bachelor's degree; at least five (5)years of Human Resources or experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Master's degree preferred.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
