Supports transformation initiatives to advance care and quality outcomes across the system in an integrated and cost-effective manner. Leads the development and implementation of a clinical nursing practice model that reflects and drives best practices and creates an environment to facilitate team actions that produce results. Responsible for the enhancement and innovation of professional nursing practice throughout the system and will work collaboratively across the continuum of care. System Chief Nursing Officer provides oversight for the clinical, operational and financial practice of nursing across the continuum of care, including all acute and ambulatory settings to enable consistent practices, standards, evaluation and adherence to common standards of competency and excellence of nursing across--the McLaren Healthcare Corporation (MHCC) system. McLaren Health Care, headquartered in Grand Blanc, Michigan, is a fully integrated health network committed to quality, evidence-based patient care, and cost-efficiency. All GME programs at McLaren are overseen and managed centrally by the Department of Academic Affairs. Qualifications Qualifications: Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing, with a master's degree in nursing or related field.
  • Current State of MI nursing license.
  • Ten years' experience of progressively responsible hospital operations managing patient care services, leading improvements in quality, patient satisfaction, nursing productivity and cost of care; with extensive experience building collaborative relationships with physicians and other healthcare professionals and a record of driving cultural change within an integrated delivery network. Preferred:
    • NDP or PhD in Nursing or related field.
    • Nurse Executive Certification. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
      • Knowledge and understanding of the new approaches to patient care and alternative access points of care for patients (i.e., telemedicine, alternative patient care providers including community resources). 2. Knowledge of healthcare operations in both inpatient and outpatient settings, guidelines, industry trends and regulatory requirements. 3. Strong management skills and a leadership style that is inclusive, consistently treats others with respect, holds team accountable to high service standards. 4. Ability to create a clear line of sight between strategic priorities and individual goals; monitor progress; provide accurate and timely feedback and recognize contributions.
