Job Description:

Purpose:Responsibilities within Process Control and Digitalization include designing, testing, and implementing software applications for new and existing manufacturing processes. In addition, taking personal responsibility of developed applications to ensure customer needs are met while maintaining a safe work environment.Essential Functions:Develop and debug software tools to be used in productionEvaluate and select appropriate instrumentationDesign, program, and integrate systems to perform measurement, control, and inspection functionsInstall systems that meet specifications and project requirements for budget and timingAssist in the development of specifications, budgets, and project plansManage contractors and external suppliers to deliver functional systems that meet required specificationsProvide control engineering assistance to troubleshoot/improve manufacturing systemsProvide written and verbal project communication to various functional areas and levelsDevelop technical and procedural documentation, provide training to manufacturing personnelEvaluate existing systems and modify as appropriate to improve performance and suitability to task, and to lower costAdherence to NSG/Pilkington Standards of Business Conduct and its Values and PrinciplesOther duties as assigned by managerTop 3 Competencies Needed for Success in the Role:Customer Focused - Actively seeks to understand internal & external customer circumstances, problems, expectations and needsPassion for Excellence - Takes personal responsibility and ownership for achieving results & objectivesEmpowers & Develops- Proactive in managing own self-development and learning activities.
