Job Description:
Job Description Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in
Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and
minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required.
Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be
considered. A full-time Special Education Teacher is needed to
support students in grades K-2 within a dedicated K-12 school
setting in Warren, MI. The position focuses on serving young
learners with cognitive impairments in an onsite environment
beginning as soon as possible through June 11, 2026, under a
contract lasting the current school year. Key Responsibilities: -
Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students with cognitive
impairments in grades K2 - Develop and implement individualized
education plans (IEPs) that meet the unique learning needs of each
student - Collaborate with other educators and support staff to
foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment - Maintain
ongoing communication with families and caregivers regarding
student progress - Utilize Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI)
techniques to ensure a safe and positive educational setting
Qualifications and Experience: - Valid Special Education License
with either a Cognitively Impaired (CI) or Autism Spectrum Disorder
(ASD) endorsement - Certification in Crisis Prevention Intervention
(CPI), or willingness to obtain and maintain certification annually
- Experience working with young children in a special education
setting, preferably K-2 grades - Strong communication skills and
ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
